WITH Ana
Ureña
While they are very common in the 1st row and they appear in
every significant event on the fashion business, sometimes
we don’t really know who they are. In this article, we are
going to take a closer look at those people who create the
world of fashion, to better understand our crazy life.
Ana Ureña is a journalist and a fashion expert, and is
currently contributing in one of the most important journals
of Spain.
Nevertheless, her beginnings were very different because
she studied International Affairs in London. She used that
carrier as a basis because she knew she didn’t want to
pursue that path on the future. Her passion, since she was
little, was fashion thanks to the fact that her mother and
aunt were models back in the 70s. They were the Surianni
sisters.
As we enter her intimate space we realize that every detail
we find inside her home, reveals the main characteristic of
her personality: the stile.
CAPTION: CHANEL JACKETS
She and her mother are addicted to the pieces of la maison
Chanel and there is no issue that those are the most precious
clothes of her wardrobe. The Chanel handbag collection
she owns is anyone’s desire.
«The inside of the red vintage handbag faded, so I sent it
to Paris to be changed. They returned me the bad as good
as new. I don’t know what they did but they are capable of
seeking the best solution», explains Ureña, exited about her
fetish brand.
CAPTION: SHELVE BAG FENDI AND BLUE SANDALS.
The huge library of the living room is full of fashion books
together with the classical authors of the International
literature. «When I fist arrive here I sorted the books by
colours, I need harmony among things», explains Ana.
by Javier de Juanas
Pages 58 - 67
CAPTION: SEQUINS (Dresses and handbag Dolce &
Gabbana, blouse Alvarno and shoes Cesare Paciotti).
Although Ana is quite sober, there are some pieces that
dazzle, such as for example a blouse by Alvarno or a minibag,
Sicily design, by Dolce & Gabbana.
CAPTION: HANDBAGS (Loewe above, Louis Vuitton and
Hermès below)
The handbags are her greatest passion and she has the
best essentials, such as the Hèrmes Birkin, the Louis Vuitton
Speedy and the Loewe Amazona, next to a paper version,
that is a funny gift the Spanish brand gave to the attendants
in one of their fashion shows in Paris.
CAPTION: BUDHA (All the costume jewellery by Oh My
God)
Great friend of the Nicolás family is an unconditional fan of
one of their brands, the Oh My God jewellery that has the
creations of Patricia Nicolás.
