5. <strong>International</strong> students<br />

Once you have decided <strong>to</strong> study at DTU there<br />

are several things you need <strong>to</strong> do.<br />

In the following chapter you will find information<br />

on:<br />

• <strong>International</strong> student enrolment<br />

• Course registration<br />

• Accommodation<br />

• Buddy reception programme<br />

• Residence Permit<br />

• Insurance.<br />

These are all things you must do UbeforeU arriving in<br />

Denmark!<br />

<strong>International</strong> student enrolment<br />

<strong>International</strong> Exchange Student Enrolment<br />

To enrol at DTU you must first fill in our online<br />

application form (international student form). Print<br />

out the form, sign it, and return it <strong>to</strong> <strong>International</strong><br />

<strong>Affairs</strong>. In return we will send you:<br />

• a letter of acceptance and<br />

• a supplement <strong>to</strong> an application for a residence<br />

permit (which is purple) if you are not an EU<br />

citizen<br />

Course and housing registration for<br />

international exchange students<br />

Once you have planned your curriculum (planned<br />

your courses) at DTU, you must register for<br />

courses through CampusNet.<br />

All forms for international exchange students must<br />

be completed and returned <strong>to</strong> the <strong>International</strong><br />

Office before:<br />

• 1 December for the spring semester<br />

• 1 July for the autumn semester<br />

Please note that it is necessary <strong>to</strong> observe these<br />

deadlines for courses <strong>to</strong> be arranged in English.<br />

<strong>International</strong> MSc student enrolment<br />

To apply for an international MSc programme at<br />

DTU you must fill in our online application form<br />

(MSc application). Please find the form at<br />

www.msc.dtu.dk. Complete the form, print it, sign<br />

it, enclose all the required documentation and<br />

return it <strong>to</strong> <strong>International</strong> <strong>Affairs</strong> before:<br />

• 15 March<br />

After having evaluated and accepted the<br />

applications we will send you:<br />

• a letter of acceptance<br />

• a supplement <strong>to</strong> an application for a<br />

residence permit (which is purple)<br />

• various practical information about the studies<br />

at DTU<br />

Course registration<br />

Course registration for international exchange<br />

students<br />

You can sign up for a maximum of 7 (5 credit<br />

points) courses at the undergraduate or MSc<br />

programme level (60 credit points per year is a full<br />

workload). Your choice of courses can be<br />

changed after arrival.<br />

Please note that your Course Registration also<br />

serves as your registration for the final
