The Whale Who Believed She Was a Fish

C. Ravizza, S. Covelli

Whale always felt very lonely. Because of her size, it seemed to her

that everyone was afraid of her. Yet she felt she had a heart as big

as her gigantic tail... Discouraged, she swam away from everyone,

crying. Her tears, however, illuminated the ocean depths with an

enchanting rainbow, and fish began to dart in her wake. From that

moment, Whale continued to offer her colourful tears to the ocean,

though now they were tears of joy.

An illustrated book dedicated to the importance of empathy and

discovering one’s own potential.

The whale who believed she was a little fish lived

at the bottom of the sea among the algae and red coral.

She always felt lonely, because it seemed to her

that everyone was a little afraid of her.

Often, when she twirled among the

waves, she met fish and, all excited,

she would swirl and turn.

But if she joyfully darted towards them,

they fled quickly away in fear, seeking

shelter from the great waves she raised

by her pirouettes.
