International Cabernet Day<br />
Famously being a key grape in Bordeaux red wine, Cabernet Sauvignon is also found in nearly<br />
every major wine producing country around the world. Characteristically, “Cab Sav” is big, bold<br />
and fruity. Cabernet Sauvignon is a great grape for ageing, due to its good tannic structure, high<br />
acidity and fruit content. When Cabernet ages, we get developed flavours of cedar, baking spices<br />
and tobacco; flavours which are sought after when looking at the top end of a wine list. Three<br />
wines chosen to showcase the fruity, bold characteristics of “Cab Sav”, with a couple of the wines<br />
highlighting what’s possible when we age, blend or mature in oak barrels.<br />
