The incoming <strong>Head</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> CCS will play a pivotal role in strategically assessing<br />
the recent growth <strong>of</strong> CCS and continuing to build and deliver excellence through an<br />
exceptional team. This individual must possess outstanding leadership skills and extensive<br />
experience to effectively tackle the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. First and<br />
foremost, CCS is seeking a person <strong>of</strong> deep <strong>Christian</strong> faith and character, who cares about<br />
people, relationships, and the CCS community. Secondly, the next <strong>Head</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>School</strong> will<br />
focus internally on existing programs and priorities, seeking ways to continuously improve<br />
in all areas, focusing resources wisely and prioritizing appropriately. Third, the next leader<br />
will focus on and develop the faculty and administrative teams in light <strong>of</strong> recent growth,<br />
making sure the team flourishes in all ways – pr<strong>of</strong>essionally, culturally, emotionally, and<br />
spiritually. Finally, CCS needs a leader who will continue to grow its strong reputation,<br />
build external relationships, and cultivate donors to support new initiatives.<br />
CCS’s next <strong>Head</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>School</strong> will focus on the five impact areas in the Strategic Plan to<br />
which he or she will have the flexibility to suggest modifications as he or she sees fit:<br />
1. Academic Culture and Scholarly Work, 2. Discipleship and Community Building,<br />
3. Employee Recruitment, Development, and Retention, 4. Campus Improvements and<br />
Master Planning, and 5. Innovative Programs. Through improvements in these areas, CCS<br />
strives for the following outcomes:<br />
• Robust student interest in high-quality, mission-aligned culture and work<br />
• Engaging teaching/learning practices across all grade levels that are aligned to the<br />
Graduate Pr<strong>of</strong>ile<br />
• Mission aligned biblical instruction and discipleship that promotes biblical literacy and<br />
real world application<br />
• Student life that represents the beauty and wholeness <strong>of</strong> God’s design for community<br />
living<br />
• Discipleship practices that engage students consistently in grace and truth<br />
• An overarching sense <strong>of</strong> connectedness and belonging by all students, families, and<br />
employees<br />
<strong>Chattanooga</strong> is a vibrant, growing city, and families in the area are increasingly drawn to<br />
the mission <strong>of</strong> CCS. The next <strong>Head</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>School</strong> will have the opportunity and challenge to<br />
maintain and further this mission.
