The Madison Area YMCA reaches a historic milestone this year as it
celebrates its 150th anniversary. A staple in the community, the YMCA
today comprises two buildings: the Family Center on Kings Road and
the F.M. Kirby Children’s Center on East Street. It features a huge
variety of offerings, from children’s programming to performing arts,
fitness, health and wellness options. “There is a place here at the Y
for you. Whether you’ve been here before or not, we welcome you,”
says longtime CEO and president Diane Mann. —TN
