ONCE FORBIDDEN, NOW REBORN - Remedy Rum 

was created in the 1920s when the time of Prohibition 

prevailed in the USA. Alcohol could only 

be obtained illegally and with difficulty; only 

pharmacists were allowed to sell it for medical 

purposes. The alchemist Frank M. Farrington from 

New York made this law his trump card: he sold 

Remedy Rum in the fancy apothecary bottles and 

thus created the trendy spirit of the secret New 

York party scene. 

Remedy Rum is still popular today and offers a 

special drink for every taste with its range around 

Remedy Spiced Rum, Remedy Pineapple and Remedy 

Elixir.

GINGEr MOJITO 

This is a spicier, more pungent version of the classic Mojito. It was developed 

in the South Bronx and used to be one of the favourite drinks of the mafia group 

led by Peter “Clutch Hand” Morello. Those sure were tough guys… 

INGrEDIENTS 

5 cl Remedy Spiced Rum 

2 cl lime juice 

1 tsp cane sugar 

Lime cubes 

Ginger Beer 

Mint leaves 

PrEPArATION 

Pour the Remedy Spiced Rum, lime 

juice, cane sugar, lime cubes and 

mint leaves into a highball glass. 

Gently crush the ingredients with a 

pestle. Add crushed ice and top up 

the glass with ginger beer.

of Juan Paz, a young adventurer who was raised in Panama 

by a distillery owner. While his father passed down the 

passion for exquisite rum, he had a strong urge to discover 

the world and write his own story. One day, as he was 

playing poker with a captain in the harbor of the famous 

Panama Canal, luck and destiny are in his favor; He won his 

trip to America and started his own story as John Traspers, 

sharing his love fpr rum with those who are just as thirsty 

for life and a sip or two of rum. 

TRASPERS 

The bouquet of Traspers Panama Rum is multi-faceted 

and balanced. Intense aromas of ripe pears and raisins 

are accompanied by brown sugar, caramel and a hint 

of roasted aromas. In addition, there are notes of black 

currant jam. A full-bodied taste reminiscent of crème 

brûlée emerges on the palate. Light notes of ginger 

and black pepper accompany this fine drop. A soft, 

medium-long finish rounds off the taste experience 

excellently.
