2023 TSS MAI eProgramme v1

The power of TEAM...
First up was St Marys Meath who were dispatched
6.2 to 0.2. Next up Ballcomoyle Westmeath who
were beaten 8.9 to 2.1 the girls getting in the
groove now. Next up was Longwood Meath who
were beaten 3.2 to 0.2 points. The girls again
qualified top of the Group for the semi final which
was won 3.2 to 0.2. Four matches in on the same
day and our players were feeling the pace however
they rallied and recovered to get set for a very
tough final Vs Dunmore Mac Hales Galway in front
of a large crowd. With 4 minutes left on the clock,
the girls were 2.3 to 2.5 - 2 points down ..... but
Laoise Kelly pointed to give hope for a draw and
extra time. However with a minute to go, a superb
shot by Mia Wong Doyle was saved and it fell to
Aimee Dignam’s feet who volleyed straight into the
goal. She nearly took the net off the posts with the
unstoppable shot to win the game for us by 2
points.
Captain Aoife McGarry and the whole team
climbed the steps to collect the trophy and their
medals with Aoife giving a great speech.
The girls enjoyed a richly deserved meal out that
evening before travelling back to the various
Gaeltachts etc. again.
