GIRLS
Since the last Mini All Ireland our girls have had a great football year.
They always turn up to training full of enthusiasm and give it their all. At
the training sessions they do a mix of some skills drills, fun games and
mini matches as well as a chance to chat with their friends. We finish off
every session with a ‘TSS’ cheer which manages to get louder each week!
This year our girls had 4 teams competing at home or away against Cuala,
Lucan Sarsfield and Kilmacud Crokes in the Go Games format. They have
done really well in their matches, continuing to improve their skills and
their teamwork throughout the year – making all their coaches very
proud! A big thank you to those dedicated coaches.
We finished off the year with a fun day out in Squirrel Scramble where
the girls were rewarded for their bravery with some pizza and a football
each. So we have high hopes for this year after all the practise they
surely did over the summer!
Training is on Monday nights in Terenure College at 6-7pm. From 02
October we will be moving to Three Rock Rovers at 7-8pm on Monday
nights. Matches are every second Sunday at 10am. We are always happy
to welcome new players and of course coaches/mentors/goal
carriers/bib washers/you name it - to help out. If you’re interested in
either then please feel free to contact Sinéad Donoghue on 087 233 5010.
