BOYS
With a squad of over 70 players, the TSS 2014 boys’ team are the largest in the club (and
probably the loudest too!)
Led by John Doherty, Aoife Hewitt, Francis Diver and Niall Martin, training and home matches
take place VEC Sportsgrounds in Terenure. The last 12 months has seen fantastic progression
across all of our players – attendances at training regularly tops 65 players, which ensures
that our players go into Go-Games full of enthusiasm, with smiles aplenty.
There is a wonderful dynamic amongst players, mentors and parents - it has been remarked
by many that training and matches resemble a mix between a Gaelic football match and a
playdate! It’s fantastic to see life-long friendships being forged across our players (who hail
from Terenure, Templeogue, Crumlin, Rathgar, Ranelagh, Ballyroan, Walkinstown and
Greenhills amongst others) through the medium of Gaelic football
Go-Games take place bi-weekly and sees TSS 2014s travel to away games or welcome teams
to the VEC Sportsgrounds for home matches. We’ve had some fantastic games over the last
12 months, and it is clear that our boys measure up well against the likes of Kilmacud Crokes,
Cuala and Ballinteer St. Johns. In addition, we hold a number of squad events over the course
of the season, including a fundraiser, Christmas Party and end of season party.
