Celebrating<br />
AT THE LIBRARY<br />
Thanks to the <strong>Friends</strong> of the Library’s support,<br />
community members discovered a world of<br />
creativity and imagination during the summer<br />
reading promotion.<br />
Dewey welcomes youngsters<br />
to the Library’s <strong>Summer</strong> program kickoff.<br />
Families flocked to the library for creative programs<br />
like the History Makers.<br />
Fun Art programs such as the Pinch Clay Pot activity<br />
kept school-age kids engaged this summer.<br />
It was standing room only at the June book event celebrating the publication of<br />
The Story of Disney: 100 Years of Wonder.<br />
A panel of Disney archivists shared anecdotes from this commemorative book that highlights<br />
a century of entertainment.<br />
The <strong>Friends</strong> of the Library sold copies of The Story of Disney: 100 Years of Wonder at the<br />
event. The books quickly sold out!<br />
GOT BOOKS<br />
The success of our Bookstores and Booksales depend solely on YOU!<br />
Donations from the public stock the Bookstore shelves or make our periodic booksales very popular with the community.<br />
WE ARE VERY HAPPY TO ACCEPT CLEAN, UNMARKED ITEMS:<br />
• Gently used books • Commercially recorded CDs, DVDs, or Blu-ray • Magazines (less than 1 year old)<br />
• Textbooks (less than 2 years old) • Computer books (less than 2 years old)<br />
WE CANNOT ACCEPT: • Damaged books (torn, water stains, no covers) • Catalogs • Encyclopedias • Cassettes or vinyl records • Gift items.<br />
