Spend a week soaking up the sights and sounds of India’s famed
Golden Triangle. You begin in the lively capital, touring both Old
and New Delhi. Continue to Agra and its awe-inspiring Mughal
architecture, including the Taj Mahal – which you see in the soft
glow of sunrise. Then explore the deserted sandstone city of
Fatehpur Sikri, and the ‘Pink City’ of Jaipur.
Day 1: Fly to Delhi (N)
Days 2 & 3: Delhi
Arrive in Delhi and transfer to The Claridges for a 2-night stay. The
following day, embark on a guided tour of Old and New Delhi including
the imposing Jama Masjid mosque, the Raj Ghat memorial to Mahatma
Gandhi, and the 12th-century minaret of Qutb Minar. (B, D)
Days 4 & 5: Agra
Take the train to Agra and transfer to the Trident Hotel. Visit the
impressive, red-sandstone Agra Fort, which encloses a number of
palaces. Then witness the Mughal-era masterpiece that is the Taj
Mahal, commissioned by Shah Jahan in honour of his late wife. (B, D)
Days 6 & 7: Jaipur
Visit the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri, then drive to Jaipur and
the Royal Heritage Haveli, a former royal residence, for a 2-night
stay. Tour the Amber Fort, the City Palace, and the Jantar Mantar
Observatory. Wander the colourful bazaars in the evening. (B, D)
Day 8: Delhi
Drive back to Delhi and stay overnight at the Novotel Aerocity. (B, D)
Day 9: Fly home (B)

Days 9 & 10: Jawai Leopard Camp
Stay 2 nights in the remote Rajasthani wilderness. Morning and
afternoon 4x4 safaris to seek the leopards which roam this

Days 11 & 12: Devigarh
Stay 2 nights at the RAAS Devigarh, nestled in the Aravalli Hills of
Udaipur. Relax or explore Delwara village, the temple complexes
at Nathdwara and Eklingji, or the lakeside town of Udaipur and its
magnificent City Palace. (B)
Day 13: Delhi
Fly to Delhi and stay overnight at The Claridges. (B)
