A little of what has been<br />
achieved in Banks Peninsula<br />

‘Jobs for Nature’ has supported some of the best conservation projects in Aotearoa right here<br />
in Banks Peninsula. More than $16 million has been put to great use by local organisations and<br />
rūnanga who are restoring whenua, controlling pests & building resilience in our environments.<br />

Five of our schools participate in the Healthy School Lunch<br />
programme. That's almost 1200 children eating a healthy lunch every<br />
day and $7,000 a week back into the pocket of local families.<br />
Over $4.5 million has been invested across 20 schools in the<br />
Banks Peninsula electorate through the school investment package<br />
for playground upgrades, infrastructure improvements, landscaping<br />
and more.<br />
Free public transport for children under 13 years, half-priced fares for<br />
under 25 years and community services card holders.<br />
Since 2017 superannuation has increased by $3<strong>27</strong> per fortnight,<br />
per couple.<br />

We’ve funded the City Council to deliver millions of dollars worth of<br />
upcoming road safety improvements in Woolston and Bromley.<br />
Including a cycle link to make it safer for students to bike to<br />
Te Aratai College along Aldwins / Ensors Roads.<br />

Thanks to our shovel-ready funding the final section of the Coastal Pathway is almost completed.<br />
