Editorial The Vision that has Connected Us for Almost 60 Years 050.7360 Dear Business Partners Enabling communication through optimal network infrastructures – that was already the aim of Hans Reichle and Renato De-Massari when they developed a revolutionary telephone outlet almost 60 years ago. Our mission is still the same, but when it comes to technology everything has changed. Today, we are amazed that artificial intelligence (AI) can, for example, paint pictures, write essays and diagnose medical conditions. Machines now perform the brainwork that was previously considered a human domain. However, these high-performance computers only run if their network infrastructures can be relied upon. No AI without connectivity. Megatrends such as AI are also driving the boom in data centers. If you want to hold your own in this market, you have to be able to move at a fast pace: Latencies and data transfer rates are constantly accelerating. At the same time, data centers should be improving their energy efficiency and working trouble-free at all times. In our FOCUS story, we take you on a journey through time in the data center and show you how we can help you plan and operate. With our complete portfolio for data center infrastructures, we have also specialized in continuously improving efficiency and security. With the BladeShelter T7 PLUS rack system, for example, which has a static load-bearing capacity of 1,800 kg and separates the flow of hot and cold air, power consumption is noticeably reduced. And the smart ActiPower 4.0 Power Distribution Unit (PDU) can monitor environmental parameters such as energy consumption, temperature, humidity and access security. Staying on the ball The further modernization of our product range and our own infrastructures has traditionally been a very high priority at R&M.
