Cookie Preparation<br />
Bake a large batch of sugar cookies <strong>in</strong><br />
advance. You may want to <strong>in</strong>volve volunteers<br />
<strong>in</strong> the bak<strong>in</strong>g process. You may also buy them from a<br />
local bakery.<br />
Ensure you have a variety of cookie shapes and sizes. Consider g<strong>in</strong>gerbread cookies<br />
and other <strong>Christmas</strong>-themed shapes (stars, angels, sheep, <strong>Christmas</strong> tree, circles,<br />
squares, snowflakes, candy canes, etc.).<br />
Allow the cookies to cool completely before the event.<br />
Decorat<strong>in</strong>g Station Setup<br />
Arrange tables and chairs <strong>in</strong> a way that provides enough space for families to<br />
decorate their cookies.<br />
Set up decorat<strong>in</strong>g stations with <strong>in</strong>dividual workspaces for each family. Each station<br />
should <strong>in</strong>clude cookies, ic<strong>in</strong>g, food color<strong>in</strong>g, and decorat<strong>in</strong>g tools.<br />
Provide a variety of spr<strong>in</strong>kles, edible glitter, edible eyes, and small candies for<br />
decorat<strong>in</strong>g.<br />
Atmosphere<br />
Incorporate some holiday music play<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> the background to create a festive<br />
atmosphere.<br />
Take photos or videos dur<strong>in</strong>g this activity and share them on social media or your<br />
church's website to celebrate the holiday spirit.<br />
