Gamo rifles have been produced
in Barcelona, Spain, for more than 60
years and are now sold in more than
90 countries, with offices in the USA,
UK, Spain and Mexico.
The company produces its own
barrels plus rifling, triggers, receiver
tubes, welding, grinding, bluing, and
assembly. Whilst it outsources its
rubber (recoil pads) and glass filled
nylon (stocks) from the suppliers
who provide those materials to SEAT
manufacturing a division of Audi and
VW (Barcelona, Spain plant).
Before launching any new air
rifle in to the market, Gamo tests
them by dry firing each rifle 100,000
times (10 units are shot 10,000 times
each). Once the product is launched
and is being manufactured, two
out of every 1,000 rifles assembled
is tested again with 10,000 dry
re shots. In addition to that, all
of its manufactured air rifles are
checked part-by-part and each
airgun is shot and tested by a robot
to assure power, grouping and
velocity required by the company’s
exhaustive quality control standards.
