Previously a teacher’s aide, Stymiest was
looking for something more permanent
in 2011 when her friends at the Chamber
recommended her for this position.
What is one Valparaiso
business that you can’t stay
away from?
While I enjoy visiting all Valpo Chamber
members, The Spice and Tea Exchange has
been a frequent stop for me lately. I never
really thought fresh spices could make such
a difference when you’re cooking until I
brought some home to make dinner and
my family was asking for second and third
helpings.
What do you like to do
in your free time?
I spend time with my family, going on
trips, and taking pictures of nature and my
grandson. Photography is a hobby of mine.
What is your favorite thing
about the Valpo Chamber?
The excitement new members have when
they join and you tell them everything we
have to offer to help them grow.
For the past 14 years, Pazdur has been
managing payroll, receivables, payables and
financial statements.
What do you like to do in
your free time?
I've spent most of my time attending my
three kids’ activities. Now that I have only
one child at home finishing high school, I’m
learning to relax. I enjoy going to Zumba and
hanging out at my pool.
If you could go anywhere,
where would you go?
I haven’t traveled much at all so I have a lot to
see. I prefer warm weather and beaches.
Being one of the longesttenured
staff members,
what do you think makes
the culture so special?
Rex has always been an understanding
boss, especially when it comes to family.
Everybody gets along in the office. We've
become great friends and I enjoy their
company out of the office too.
Vanessa Lynch
Executive Vice President of
Economic Development and
Operations
Drawing on her accounting, restaurant
management, and hospitality experience,
Lynch took a leap of faith when she
transitioned from being a stay-at-home
mom of 14 years to diving back into the
professional world, ultimately landing
at the chamber.
What do you like most
about working at the Valpo
Chamber?
I am floored at the number of quality
relationships that I have made. I’m so
honored to know these people that
I call friends.
What do you do in your free
time?
I love spending time with my kids. They’re at
an age where I only have a certain amount of
time left where they are going to be able to
vacation with us.
What Valparaiso business do
you frequently visit?
I literally salivate when I’m in the Beef Mart.
Their Philly Cheese Steak Bratwursts are the
best and I make three new friends every time
I go in.
