The Independent Order of Odd Fellows
welcomes those who are searching for a way
to help others and be a part of something
bigger than themselves. The command
of the IOOF is to “visit the sick, relieve the
distressed, bury the dead and educate the
orphan.” Chequenk Lodge #56 has been
active in the Valparaiso community since
1848, and currently meets twice per month
in the upper level of the Free Enterprise
Center. Members are active in the Valparaiso
community and often donate their time by
volunteering at St. Teresa’s Café Manna and
providing free bicycles and repair services
to the community during warmer months.
