Programme of festive events<br />

Residents and visitors will find plenty of<br />

shopping at local Kaiapoi retailers, and<br />

at market and artisan stalls during<br />

Kaiapoi’s festive celebrations on<br />

December 2.<br />

Fun Zone, music and street<br />

entertainment.<br />

The Lions Foundation Kaiapoi<br />

Christmas Carnival:<br />

The carnival opens at 10am on the East<br />

side of Williams Street between Hilton<br />

Street and Raven Quay.<br />

It will provide entertainment on the<br />

Community Stage and fun activities<br />

within the Family Fun Zone or you can<br />

relax in the Chill Zone.<br />

Hereyou can experience favourite<br />

commercial and local vendor stalls, with<br />

some very entertaining buskers thrown<br />

in for good measure.<br />

Fun Zone:<br />

The zone offers ahuge array of<br />

inflatables,Human Gyro, Pedalmania<br />

Street Market:<br />

The Street Market runs from 10am<br />

until12.30pm in and around Williams<br />

Street.<br />

The market will be full of local<br />

community groups and businesses who<br />

will be showcasing their group<br />

information and wares.<br />

Street performers and buskers will<br />

provide lively entertainment.<br />

Kaiapoi Toyota Santa Parade:<br />

The parade starts at 1.30pm. From the<br />

corner of Charles and Jones Streets it<br />

will travel west to Williams Street,<br />

turning south along Williams Street<br />

before turning eastand endingonHilton<br />

Street, with the main man, Santa,<br />

arriving in town aboard his sleigh at the<br />

end of the parade.<br />
