Celebrations of Success<br />
Celebrations of success involving College students have been<br />
significantlately, withnewsletterspace at apremium, following awards<br />
events.<br />
In this newsletter we now acknowledge the students who gained<br />
awards and success at events outside of College Prize-givings and<br />
Awards occasions.<br />

Awards and TopSuccessesfor College Students<br />
The AorakiSportsAwardseveninghas become akey acknowledgement<br />
eventwithin the region’s secondaryschools’sportscalendars.<br />
Afterafour-yearhiatus, disruptedinitially by threeCovid years, itwas areal<br />
pleasure tohave anin-person event with all nominees and supporters in<br />
the same venue, in what was described as afabulous night ofcelebration.<br />
Acknowledgement credit forthis evening wasgiven to theAorakiRegional<br />
SportDirectorAmanda Everett.<br />
The evening was held on Friday 03 <strong>November</strong> in the Caroline Bay Hall,<br />
Timaru.<br />

<strong>2023</strong> NewZealandSportsHonours Awards Recipients<br />
To qualify forthisaward the nominated student must either have been<br />
selectedintoaNew Zealand team or have been placedfirst,second or<br />
third at National Championships in their sporting code.<br />
<strong>Ashburton</strong> College,impressively,had twenty recipient students in this<br />
awards list.<br />
