HISTORICAL KÄRJÄN TALO & THE TRADE HOUSE OF LANG
Kärjän Talo (Kärjä’s house) is a 200-year-old house and courtyard that provides unique accommodation
near the city centre of Kalajoki and the Hiekkasärkät area. The house has been
lovingly and carefully restored, and features four bedrooms that can be booked with large shared
facilities. The interior is true to the house’s history but has all modern comforts. The rooms
can be booked via AirBnB under the name ‘Kärjän talo’. History buffs will also love the rooms
available at the Trade House of Lang located in Old Raahe, which is a one-hour drive away
from Kalajoki. In the boutique hotel, each room recounts the story of a person who lived in
the Lang manor in the 1800s. The rooms’ interior designs are also true to each person’s era
and a specific point in their lives.
