Zentangle Community Art<br />

On display at the gallery wall in South<br />

Library for <strong>February</strong> is 20sq m of<br />

‘Zentangle’ artwork. Pieces done by<br />

lots of people, using tangles on a large<br />

scale. Zentangle is a pattern based<br />

drawing technique used to draw small<br />

scale artworks which can be done for<br />

a creative mindful focus or turned<br />

into project based designs. The artworks<br />

on the wall contain nearly 300<br />

different tangles, so make sure to go<br />

along and admire.<br />

Digital Skills for Seniors<br />

Mondays, 10am-noon<br />

Spreydon Library<br />

Better Digital Futures is a chance<br />

for seniors to improve their digital<br />

literacy and gain confidence with using<br />

technology. It is a 5-week course<br />

introducing the basics of computing,<br />

using iPads, chromebooks and users’<br />

own devices such as laptops and<br />

cellphones. The course gives instruction<br />

and offers practical exercises to<br />

build skills and proficiency. Bookings<br />

required.<br />

Wednesdays, 1-3pm<br />

Head to the library for a game of chess<br />

and meet up with other chess players.<br />

There will be some chess sets available,<br />

but bring your own just in case<br />

you can join. Trains and trams will be running, along with a special<br />

appearance from Cog & Compass Inc showcasing their Steampunk<br />

and under for the whole day. Train and tram tickets are available at an<br />

abilities with this session geared<br />

around learning the basics of setting<br />

up a file for laser cutting and engraving,<br />

using the free software Inkscape.<br />

bookings required on the libraries<br />
