ARTISTS IN FOCUS <strong>2024</strong><br />
Aladd<strong>in</strong> Abdeen, an award-w<strong>in</strong>n<strong>in</strong>g self-taught Jordanian<br />
artist, transitioned from a career <strong>in</strong> bus<strong>in</strong>ess adm<strong>in</strong>istration<br />
to pursue his natural artistic talent. His journey led him to<br />
explore traditional Arabic calligraphy, abstract art, and portraiture<br />
through pa<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>g. S<strong>in</strong>ce mov<strong>in</strong>g to the UAE <strong>in</strong> 2014, Aladd<strong>in</strong> has<br />
showcased his work <strong>in</strong> numerous group exhibitions, aim<strong>in</strong>g to revive<br />
Islamic art and culture with a fresh perspective.<br />
Aladd<strong>in</strong>’s unique artistic style emerged through dedicated selfstudy<br />
and <strong>in</strong>tensive practice. His commitment to present<strong>in</strong>g art<br />
differently sets him apart <strong>in</strong> various pa<strong>in</strong>t<strong>in</strong>g genres. His rich cultural<br />
heritage and surround<strong>in</strong>gs <strong>in</strong> the UAE have profoundly <strong>in</strong>fluenced<br />
his art, especially <strong>in</strong> the realm of Arabic calligraphy, which is deeply<br />
rooted <strong>in</strong> Arab culture.<br />
