ARTISTS IN FOCUS <strong>2024</strong><br />
Dany Baghdan’s passion for photography, ignited <strong>in</strong><br />
childhood, was nurtured through his graphic design studies<br />
at university. Draw<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>spiration from the rich tapestry of<br />
life, Baghdan’s art delves <strong>in</strong>to the relationship between chaos and<br />
beauty, resonat<strong>in</strong>g with Nietzsche’s philosophy. His artistic merit<br />
was recognized <strong>in</strong> the UNDP’s “Go Green” <strong>in</strong>itiative <strong>in</strong> 2003, and<br />
further solidified with his 2023 exhibition at Maissane Design <strong>in</strong> Abu<br />
Dhabi.<br />
Beyond mere hob<strong>by</strong>, Baghdan’s photography, particularly his<br />
<strong>in</strong>frared black and white series on dried flowers, has garnered<br />
attention from collectors and publications. This series, a testament to<br />
the ephemeral beauty of existence, reflects Baghdan’s commitment to<br />
captur<strong>in</strong>g moments that <strong>in</strong>tertw<strong>in</strong>e chaos and beauty, encourag<strong>in</strong>g<br />
a contemplative engagement with the complexities of the modern<br />
