Definitions <strong>and</strong> Criteria:<br />

Airport: Commercial <strong>and</strong> GA airports with known runways longer than 400 meters, data sourced from OurAirports.com <strong>and</strong> AOPA China. Commercial airports are publicly owned<br />

airports with at least 2,500 annual enplanements <strong>and</strong> scheduled air services, whilst the remainder are considered GA airports.<br />

MRO: Facilities providing airframe <strong>and</strong>/or engine maintenance, repair, <strong>and</strong> overhaul services to business jet <strong>and</strong> turbine helicopters. Commercial airliner MROs that provide maintenance<br />

services only to airliner-converted business jets (such as ACJ/BBJ), but not to any other purposed-built business jets, are not included in this edition of the report.<br />

FBO: Fixed Base Operators providing aviation services to crew/passengers using private <strong>and</strong>/or business aviation aircraft <strong>and</strong> ground h<strong>and</strong>ling services from fixed facilities in an airport.<br />

<strong>Training</strong> School: Facilities providing pilot training using training aircraft. Only schools under Part 141 or equivalent licenses are included in the report. Organizations only providing<br />

simulator or theory training are not included.<br />

<strong>Training</strong> Aircraft: Normal aircraft used for (but not limited to) pilot training. Recreational light spot aircraft (LSA is defined by local CAAs in different countries <strong>and</strong> has no worldwide<br />

st<strong>and</strong>ard) are not included in the report.<br />

Note:<br />

The total number of business jet MROs <strong>and</strong> the total number of turbine helicopter MROs includes those facilities that also service both.<br />

The total number of fixed-wing aircraft training schools <strong>and</strong> helicopter training schools includes those schools that also provide training for both.<br />
