Have you ever wondered just what goes<br />
on when you are speaking with someone,<br />
and they seem not to even be listening to<br />
what you are saying?<br />
I had someone that I needed to get a<br />
message across to and all that person did<br />
was look around and just seem to not care<br />
about what they needed to understand.<br />
Frustration was what I felt! It seemed like<br />
I was wasting my breath trying to explain<br />
what was going on and what to be prepared<br />
for.<br />
There was a complete lack of interest<br />
in what I was trying to tell them to help<br />
them keep from making a mistake. Finally,<br />
I asked this person what they remembered<br />
from what I had said. I was not<br />
surprised by the remark that came back:<br />
“Nothing seemed important, so I was<br />
planning what to eat tonight.”<br />
What? Wow. Nothing seemed important?<br />
Gee. I was just wasting time trying to<br />
get across a life-saving mode for rescuing<br />
someone, but it wasn’t important?<br />
I was crushed! This needed to be understood<br />
so there was no mistake with how<br />
to handle this situation. Then I thought<br />
about how God must feel at times when<br />
we let our minds wander instead of listening<br />
to what is being said. Do you think<br />
that’s how God feels when we ignore what<br />
He has in our Bible? Do we just tune it all<br />
out and think of other things that we feel<br />
is more important than God’s message<br />
for us?<br />
When you are in church, do you listen<br />
to the message that the minister or priest<br />
is trying to tell and explain? Do you sit in<br />
