Eleven more responses to our Night In Venice
question ami in since wt closed out counting the
results last week. Of the 11, seven favored canceling
the event and four wen for some form of
change to permit the tradition to continue, hopehilly
with better control and more positive after-
Ittfitnt
The 11 additional responses brought to over 100
the number of replies we received to our Suggestion
Box question, It did not alter the overall
faults of Otto, admittedly, urwdenHfie poll; the
percentages remain the same: 68 percent of the 101
respondents favor doing away with Night in Venice,
The results of our poll caused quite a stir last
Wttik. One of the reactions was that we made a big
deal out of what only 90 people had to say, That
ftwUnt probably also carries with It the thought
that most people who respond to such surveys
hive negative opinions,
Be that as it may, no one can deny that the feeltags
of the respondents haven't brought the question
to the fore: What akouti we do about the next
Night in Venice?
As we said last July, we favor continuing the tradition
(next year would be the 33th)> We continue
to believe that — but only if a batter meatw of eon*
tmUng the aftermath can be achieved; if parHen
can b» made to bahawt themselves.
