On September Z, Chopter 20 member Jules Kozmo,
KOZMA, demonstroted one of his three minioture steom
engines. The one pictured qbove is o working reproduction
of on Edison ,l00 KW bipolor electric dynomo. Jules crofted
ond ossembled it, working only from o single drowing
shown in o I 900-ero electricol hqndbook. After foshioning
the vorious ports in wood potterns, they were cost in
bronze ond mochined to finol size

Our quorterly meeiing wos held August '15, 2009 ot the
home of Mel, WBMV ond Mortho Vie in Akron, Ohio.
Seven members ond eight guests were present. Chopter
President, Ed Clinger, WABDRI welcomed us qll ond hod
us introduce ourselves before we hod o delicious outdoor
lunch. The weother wos beoutiful ond ofter lunch Mel took
us on o 90- minute ride oround the Portoge Lokes in his
ponioon boot, where we enioyed the peoceful woter ond
vorying orchiiecture. Severol of us got o bit of o sunburn.
Following the tour o short business meeting wos held.
President Ed Clinger, WASDRI presented Nelson Coley
the QCWA certificote recognizing his 60 yeors of licensing
os o Rodio Amoteur. Certificotes were olso received
for Mqe Rouvolo, WBEKL, for 60-Yeors of Licensing ond
Denny Frey, KBNIB qnd John Edel, KBLBZ for 5O-Yeors of
Licensing ond Les Myers, WBTJF, for 55 ond SO-Yeors of
