Diaper Doublers, Liners & Pocket Inserts
Diaper doublers add extra absorbency to your cloth diapering system, without excessive bulk. These
will come in handy, especially for an older baby or for longer periods of time without changes. (Doublers
are cloth diapering’s answer to the polyacrylate chemical gel found in most disposables, including “natural” disposables.) Just lay
one over the center of any cotton diaper or night pant; use pocket insert inside of pocket diapers.
Cotton-Terry

Our original doublers are custom made of thick,
triple-layered 100% cotton terry with a single layer
of cotton flannel backing. Available in white or

POCKET DIAPER INSERTS
Most pocket diaper users like to have extra inserts once their baby gets older, to add
extra absorbency. (That is, you would stuff 2, or in extreme overnight cases, 3, inserts
in the pocket.) Choose either microterry (synthetic) inserts or hemp/cotton. Absorbency
should be similar between the two types; some people like to use one of each.
Microterry Inserts
These are the same standard sized inserts which
come with the Bum Genius diapers, and work with
other brands of pocket diapers, as well. Recently
upgraded to 15 oz . in absorbency, they are 16”
long, and have snaps to fold over and adjust the
length, down to 12”, depending on the size/position
of your pocket diaper . (China)

Hemp Cotton Inserts
Designed to fit inside each size of the Fuzzi Bunz, these offer a more
natural alternative to the microterry inserts. Hourglass shaped, they
are 55% hemp for absorbency, combined with 45% unbleached

Hemp & Fleece
Stay Dry Doublers
These luxurious, best-selling doublers are made of 3 layers of absorbent,
trim fitting hemp & cotton fleece (55% hemp, 45% cotton), with an
additional layer of Malden Mills virgin poly fleece on one side. The poly
fleece layer next to baby’s skin stays dry, while wetness

Feel-Dry Fleece Liners
Unlike doublers, these have no absorbency, but rather are a single layer
of lightweight fleece that can be used with any diaper (and even over a
doubler) for those parents and babies who want that dry
feeling. Moisture wicks through the fabric into the diaper
below, keeping the layer next to baby soft and dry . Ours
are made of quality Malden Mills virgin poly fleece, and

About Wetness
We’ve found no reason to believe that wetness itself irritates the skin or causes
discomfort to the vast majority of babies . (Of course, this assumes that diapers
are changed in a reasonable time period!) However, there are some babies,
usually older babies, who do not like to feel wet at night. In these cases, fleece
liners, hemp fleece doublers or fleece-lined pocket diapers would be good
solutions . Fleece liners are also excellent when wetness must stay away from
the skin, such as with yeast infection or surgery .
