Deluxe Diaper Pail It is difficult to find a good diaper pail, let alone one that has a handle strong enough to bear the weight of a full load of diapers and soaking liquid without bending or pulling off. (In fact, if you buy any pail at the store, we’d suggest you test it outdoors for this purpose before bringing it in, as we do for pails that we test . This will save potential messy indoor accidents, if it doesn’t work out.) The off-white colored outer pail is metal, and has a foot pedal to open the lid. Inside is a white plastic bucket with a secure handle . The pail is designed with a tight, odor-blocking seal . The capacity is 5 .3 gallons, enough to hold up to 2 dozen diapers . However, it is childproof, pet proof, odor proof and spill proof, with a securely locking lid, and is sturdy enough to carry a load of diapers across the house . When the diapers are dumped into the machine, the pail liner is put in and washed along with them . This one is made of a soft, waterproof material, and features an elasticized top for a secure fit around the pail. A unique feature is the snaps at the top, so that it can be used as a “hanging diaper pail” when attached to a door handle (a convenient option if your pail is in another room; also for pocket diapers, which do not have to be soaked). It comes with a sachet of microterry sewn in to drop your favorite essential oil on to if you want to for odor prevention (many people like Tea Tree oil) . 21” tall by 17” wide .
