Super Whisper Wraps
These popular, medium-weight covers are industrial strength, and are
available with either strong Aplix ® closures or snaps . (The snaps are less
adjustable, but a good choice if you wash them with other things or don’t
like sticky closures.) Made of soft, heavy duty polyester, with waterproof
laminate inside. These work well with prefolds OR fitted diapers. In spite
of having no leg gussets, we don’t hear complaints of leakage. Available in
white or two cute unisex prints. Machine washable and dryable, warm or

Washing Velcro ® Diaper Covers
• When machine washing and drying velcro ® covers, turn them inside
out and fasten the velcro ® to protect it. Use gentle cycles, low
temperatures and mild detergents (not soaps). Avoid fabric softener,
which will coat them and could permanently destroy their waterproof
properties . Wash them separately; washing with clothing or
diapers will cause the velcro ® to become linted and less sticky,
and the high temperatures may wear your diaper covers out
prematurely.
• If you hand wash your covers, use mild laundry detergent, or wool
wash for wool covers, but not dishwashing liquid, hand soap, bar
soap, or anything else . Do not use a scrub brush or anything other
than a gentle touch!
• Wool diaper covers should not be machine dried.
• Never use chlorine bleach! It will destroy your covers.

Bummis (pronounced bum-eez) diaper covers are cut and sewn in Bummis’ own Canadian factory, to be sure of good
quality and fair labor practices. They are one of the most economical covers, as most babies can get by with just 3 sizes.
They can be used over prefold, contour or fitted diapers. Bummis are PVC, phthalate and vinyl free.

Super Brites
These new, lightweight diaper covers from Bummis have also become
very popular . They are made of a single layer of polyester with a wipeclean
laminated interior (meaning, small amounts of soil can be wiped
off) . They also feature leg gussets, offering a more precise fit for smaller
legs . The newborn size Brite is the best diaper cover for teeny
hipped, skinny-legged newborns. They come in a fun retro print or
solid white .

Stain Prevention for Diaper Covers
• To prevent staining, rinse soil from the diaper cover (nothing beats
a utility sink or toilet sprayer for this). It really helps to presoak soiled
covers in a bucket of water with a bit of mild detergent added (1 tsp .)
until several accumulate for laundering .
(We do not recommend soaking diaper covers in BacOut,
non-chlorine bleach, Oxy-Clean ® , vinegar or anything else.)
• If diaper covers become discolored, try an occasional wash cycle with a
little non-chlorine bleach to brighten them up . You can spot-treat stains
on the leg gussets with a paste made of non-chlorine bleach and water,
left on for several hours before washing. (Use of non-chlorine bleach on
wool products is not recommended; apply Eucalan Wool Wash full
strength to stained areas, and let sit before laundering .)
• It is normal for soil to get on the diaper covers occasionally, as
their function is to prevent the dreaded “blowouts” onto the clothing .
Fitted diapers will reduce soil on the covers. If you have a frequent
pooper, be sure you have enough diaper covers – at least six or eight –
to make laundry more manageable .
