gained a ranking high enough to be considered an outstanding player. 3) Others who have made a substantial contribution to tennis (i.e. tournament<br />

directors, teaching professionals, coaches, umpires, various administrators, promoters and manufacturers). 4) Sportsmanship and character.<br />

playing with three<br />

different partners. He was<br />

heavily involved in getting<br />

the first senior age<br />

division started in the<br />

<strong>USTA</strong> Missouri Valley,<br />

beginning with a program<br />

in Lexington, Mo.<br />

Valley president, he has<br />

also served as vice-president<br />

and president of the<br />

Oklahoma District Tennis<br />

Association. He was a<br />

presidential appointee to<br />

the <strong>USTA</strong> Executive<br />

Committee in 2002. A former<br />

player at Southeastern<br />

State College<br />

(Durant, Okla.), he has<br />

been ranked in the top<br />

five in the Missouri Valley<br />

in nearly every age group<br />

–– from 35’s to 60’s ––<br />

with 60-plus district and<br />
