We’re delighted to host our conference in Washington. We hope you will take away
many new ideas from SCUP–40’s knowledge exchange through workshops, concurrent
sessions, plenary speakers, and Idea Marketplace.
Our sessions offer new perspectives and innovative approaches on a variety of planning
topics—all related to our "Planning • Linking • Learning" theme, which recognizes that
advancing learning is the ultimate purpose of everything we do.
We are grateful to the many people who have worked hard organizing and planning this
conference for a strong program and extraordinary lineup of unique campus tours and
special events. Our thanks goes to the SCUP–40 Conference Committee, members of
SCUP’s Academies and session reviewers, the Professional Development Committee,
SCUP Board of Directors, session conveners, and the SCUP staff. Special thanks
goes to those who worked so hard on making the local arrangements and to the many
colleges and universities that have generously opened their campuses for our visits.
Please take time to visit and thank our exhibitors in our Idea Marketplace during the
conference. We appreciate them and our many sponsors who support the conference
through their generous contributions of money, ideas, products, or services.
For many, the best part of the conference is the opportunity to visit with old friends and
