The EEP is managed within the International Studbook with the global captive population being managed as a single population.<br />
There are strill problems within the EEP population with incomplete data from deaths. There are more potential holders than there are specimens<br />
available within the programme.<br />
A number of holders have made and have plans to make new facilities for this species which is good to see.
