Four meetings were held in <strong>2007</strong> and <strong>2008</strong> on 10th March <strong>2007</strong>, 14th September <strong>2007</strong>, 8th March <strong>2008</strong> and 17th September <strong>2008</strong>.<br />
The main TAG activities over the period have been:<br />
• To begin discussing the review of the Husbandry Guidelines;<br />
• To implement the recommendations in the RCP, and downgrade the management of silvery marmosets and black-eared<br />
marmosets to monitor programmes;<br />
• To begin the EEP evaluation process;<br />
• Peter Galbusera has begun compiling a list of potential and completed callitrichid research projects carried out in <strong>EAZA</strong> zoos;<br />
• To continue to develop and implement a major conservation programme on the silvery-brown tamarin in Colombia, led by TAG<br />
vice-chair Eric Ruivo working with Fundacion Biodiversa, a Colombian NGO. This began in 2006, and workshops were held in<br />
Colombia in <strong>2007</strong> on veterinary management of callitrichids and in <strong>2008</strong> on nutrition of callitrichids.<br />
TAG goals for 2009<br />
• Continue to develop the conservation programme for the silvery-brown tamarin in Colombia, and to seek more partners for the<br />
programme.<br />
• Continue the evaluation of EEPs.<br />
• Undertake a review of the husbandry guidelines and publish a second edition in the new <strong>EAZA</strong> format in 2010.
