3. Four meetings were held in 2007 and 2008 on 10th March 2007, 14th September 2007, 8th March 2008 and 17th September 2008. The main TAG activities over the period have been: • To begin discussing the review of the Husbandry Guidelines; • To implement the recommendations in the RCP, and downgrade the management of silvery marmosets and black-eared marmosets to monitor programmes; • To begin the EEP evaluation process; • Peter Galbusera has begun compiling a list of potential and completed callitrichid research projects carried out in EAZA zoos; • To continue to develop and implement a major conservation programme on the silvery-brown tamarin in Colombia, led by TAG vice-chair Eric Ruivo working with Fundacion Biodiversa, a Colombian NGO. This began in 2006, and workshops were held in Colombia in 2007 on veterinary management of callitrichids and in 2008 on nutrition of callitrichids. TAG goals for 2009 • Continue to develop the conservation programme for the silvery-brown tamarin in Colombia, and to seek more partners for the programme. • Continue the evaluation of EEPs. • Undertake a review of the husbandry guidelines and publish a second edition in the new EAZA format in 2010.
