Saint Joseph’s University publicly kicked off With Faith
and Strength to Dare, its unprecedented comprehensive
campaign, in style with a magical and historic gala evening in
the elegantly transformed Fieldhouse. More than 500 alumni,
donors, friends, faculty, staff, students, and community
leaders shared in the announcement from Campaign Chair
Anthony A. Nichols Sr. ’67 of the $150 million goal and the
news that more than $90 million had already been raised.
Those in attendance were treated to an elegant reception
and dinner as well as a powerful program of speakers and a
multimedia production. The presentation intertwined the
University’s past, present and future with Saint Joseph’s
tagline, Spirit | Intellect | Purpose and the Campaign theme.
The program concluded with President Timothy R. Lannon,
S.J., sharing the Campaign’s six priorities and his vision for
the future. The University Singers then presented a rousing
version of “We Are Called,” after which guests were invited
to dance into the evening.
