Some key points should be paid
attention to:
K + should not be administered until the kidneys are
functioning (there are urine in bladder or passed urine
during 6 hours before admission)
The concentration of KCl should be 0.15 -0.3%, 0.3%, < 0.3%.
The solution containing K + can not be injected
intravenously.
The duration of intravenous infusion of K + containing
solution should > 6-8 6 8 hrs.
In order to balance K + between ECF and ICF, K + losses
are usually replaced > 4-6 4 6 day's period.
