10a: How to Measure: Lengths (A)<br />

A1 Total length - HSP to hem<br />

On the front, measure from the high shoulder point<br />

where the shoulder seam meets the neck seam, or<br />

at the neck edge. If garment has forward shoulder<br />

seams, measure at the point where the garment<br />

naturally folds. This is measured to the hem. If<br />

garment has shaped hem, measure to the point<br />

which is level with the centre front.<br />

A2 Total length - LSP to hem<br />

On the front, measure from the low shoulder point<br />

where the shoulder seam meets the armhole. If<br />

garment has forward shoulder seams, measure<br />

at the point where the garment naturally folds.<br />

This is measured to the hem. If garment has<br />

shaped hem, measure to the point which is level<br />

with the centre front.<br />

A3 Sideseam length (garments for upper body)<br />

Measure on sideseam from underam point<br />

to hem.<br />

A4 Sideseam length (skirts)<br />

Measure on sideseam from waist edge<br />

to hem. If garment has a waistband, then<br />

measure from the top edge of the<br />

waistband.<br />
