C9 Front waist width<br />

Measure across the garment from side to side<br />

at the centre of the elastic (with the elastic<br />

relaxed)<br />

C10 Back waist width - elasticated/relaxed<br />

Measure across the garment from side to side<br />

at the centre of the elastic (with the elastic<br />

relaxed)<br />

C11 Back waist width - elasticated/stretched flat<br />

Measure across the garment at the centre of<br />

the elastic, pulling the garment out so that the<br />

fabric is flat.<br />

C12 Waistband depth (garments for upper body)<br />

Measure from seam to lower edge. If garment<br />

is knit, measure from top rib to lower edge.<br />

C13 Waist circumference @ seam (skirts, shorts & pants)<br />

For garments without waistband measure<br />

from side to side on the waist seam and then<br />

double the measurement for the<br />

circumference<br />
