here are nearly 10900 IDPs families in Anuradhapura district. The project has identified several rights of the IDPs have been violated because of the
displacedment.They have kept away from their normal lifestyle & Family life. It is very difficult to maintain the personal life I the camps or
transitional shelters. This condition creates more Human Rights violations among the basic family and also among the community. As the Project
observation the reason of this critical condition seem to be the unawareness of their rights and duties. There is no durable empowerment system for them to
come up. As NPDS for IDPs Project, it will be easy to spread the message though the young community of the IDPs. Because they are seem to be very
effective and creative. So the Project of Anuradhapura region has conducted the training program and one day field awareness program on Human Rights,
Fundamental Rights for the IDPs in Anuradhapura district.
