Human Rights Animates Programs<br />

here are nearly 10900 <strong>IDPs</strong> families <strong>in</strong> Anuradhapura district. The project has identified several rights of the <strong>IDPs</strong> have been violated because of the<br />
displacedment.They have kept away from their normal lifestyle & Family life. It is very difficult to ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong> the personal life I the camps or<br />
transitional shelters. This condition creates more Human Rights violations among the basic family and also among the community. As the Project<br />
observation the reason of this critical condition seem to be the unawareness of their rights and duties. There is no durable empowerment system for them to<br />
come up. As NPDS for <strong>IDPs</strong> Project, it will be easy to spread the message though the young community of the <strong>IDPs</strong>. Because they are seem to be very<br />
effective and creative. So the Project of Anuradhapura <strong>region</strong> has conducted the tra<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g program and one day field awareness program on Human Rights,<br />
Fundamental Rights for the <strong>IDPs</strong> <strong>in</strong> Anuradhapura district.<br />
