Hofburg Palace, Vienna<br />

Explore independently with a stroll through the town. This evening enjoy an<br />
after dinner performance on board by London Festival Opera.<br />
Day 5 Vienna. Join the guided tour which will include the famous<br />
Ringstrasse, St Stephen’s Cathedral and the Hofburg Palace (outside only).<br />
Afternoon free for individual sightseeing. This evening we hope to offer an<br />
optional music event ashore at the State Opera or Volksopera. Details of<br />
optional music events will be available approximately three months prior to<br />
each departure date. Sail in the late evening.<br />
Day 6 Bratislava. Arrive today in the Slovak capital of Bratislava. Join a<br />
guided walking tour of the city, formerly known as Pressburg, a former<br />
capital of Hungary. See the old quarter, the ornate Baroque Palace and the<br />
ancient city gates.<br />
Day 7 Budapest. Today we explore Hungary’s elegant capital. Enjoy an<br />
excursion that includes the old quarter, visiting the Matthias Church and the<br />
Fisherman’s Bastion from where there are stunning views of the city. After<br />
lunch onboard there will be free time in Budapest or the opportunity to join<br />
an optional excursion to the Palace of Godollo. Built in the 1740s, it was the<br />
favoured home of Sissy, the wife of Emperor Franz Josef and in recent years<br />
the palace has been restored. Farewell dinner followed by a performance of<br />
highlights from the Magic Flute by London Festival Opera.<br />
Day 8 Budapest to London. Disembark after breakfast and return to London<br />
by scheduled flight.<br />
