MUSIC AND WINE IN THE ADRIATIC
ABOARD SEA CLOUD II
WITH RODNEY GREENBERG
We have chartered the magnificent Sea Cloud
II for an autumn exploration of Italy’s Adriatic
Coast. This promises to be a very special
cruise, combining, wine and music with one
of the world’s most splendid sailing yachts.
To be on deck when the sails are fully
extended as we navigate through the
Adriatic is a marvellous experience.
This a journey that will appeal to those who
enjoy being at sea, particularly under sail. Our
days will be split between the port of call and
time at sea so you will have ample time to
enjoy the vessel. We have selected what we
believe to be one of the most perfect regions
for sailing. The beauty of the Adriatic and
coastal Italy is indisputable. However, to
experience a journey through its amazingly
clear waters aboard a vessel of the character
and pedigree of Sea Cloud II makes it very
special. There could not be a more fitting
place to start our sea journey than from the
magnificence of Venice, and no better ending
than to sail into Valletta’s Grand Harbour, a
breathtaking experience at the best of times,
but on Sea Cloud II quite unforgettable.
To add to your experience, we are offering
you the chance to travel to Venice in style,
aboard one of the world’s most famous
trains, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express.
After your cruise, you also have the chance to
extend your stay in Malta with a two-night
stay at the five-star Hotel Phoenicia.
Music & Wine
Cobbled streets with years of history will unfold before us as we make our
way south aboard our luxurious sailing yacht. Explore UNESCO Heritage sites,
walk through historic hilltop villages and discover the uniqueness of each
region. Near the coast lie some of the best wine regions and during our
journey we will be visiting and tasting some of the finest examples. Added to
our enjoyment, there will be music in some stunning venues, from Chiesa
della Pieta in Venice, to the private Palazzo Tamborino-Cezzi in Lecce and the
Palazzo Beneventano in Syracuse. We are also delighted that a soprano
soloist and concert pianist from London Festival Opera will be joining us for
the cruise to entertain us with programmes from the classical and lighter
repertoire. We have allowed for several half days at sea, and what could be
better than to enjoy stunning music as we sail the Adriatic.
