Example calculation The HDG Navora 20/25/30 with HDG Lambda Control 1 has a fuelling<br />

chamber volume <strong>of</strong> 150 litres.<br />

Vbuffer = 150 litres x 13<br />

(The factor is dependent on <strong>the</strong> fuel type. Spruce is assumed as <strong>the</strong><br />

fuel for this example. For beech, a factor <strong>of</strong> 15 should be used in <strong>the</strong><br />

formula.)<br />

Vbuffer = 1950 litres<br />

When rounded up, <strong>the</strong> resulting volume should be at least 2000<br />

litres.<br />

For a more exact calculation <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> accumulator volume, refer to<br />

DIN EN 303-5 “Boilers for solid fuels, manually <strong>and</strong> automatically<br />

fed firings, nominal <strong>the</strong>rmal output up to 300 kW.”<br />
