toilets and showers
The amenity building houses the bertholders’ toilets and showers. These are open throughout
the year, except when closed for daily cleaning. We would appreciate your co-operation during
these short periods. Separate facilities are available for the general public and the disabled.
launderette
A launderette is available for use by bertholders throughout the year. This is located in the
main amenity building. Both the washing machines and driers are coin operated. A PIN number
for the door can be obtained from reception.
trolleys
These are provided for the convenience of all bertholders. A £1 coin returnable deposit is
required. Please return to the trolley park ready for the next bertholder. If, for whatever reason,
a trolley falls into the water, please let the marina staff know immediately so we can recover it.
Under no circumstances should children be allowed to ride in trolleys.
Water and electricity
All the pontoons have fresh water and the majority are equipped with electric power points.
Please note that due to health & safety legislation customers are required to supply their own
hosepipes and electricity cables.
fuel, gas and ice
A fuel bunker is located next to the lifting out dock (see marina plan). We sell unleaded petrol,
diesel and a range of oils, for which payment is accepted by credit or debit card only. There
must be no fuelling on the pontoons. Boats must be taken to the fuel quay. There is also a
chemical toilet pump out facility. Please call on VHF channel 80 for service.
Please note: Customers purchasing diesel are required by law to complete HM Revenue &
Customs declaration form at point of sale to indicate the % quantities purchased for propulsion
and/or domestic heating purposes. Ice, Calor Gas and Camping Gaz cylinder exchanges may be
purchased from the marina reception. (New gas/gaz cylinders may be purchased from the
nearby Calor Gas dealer).
Hoist and Pressure Wash
An Ascom travel hoist has been installed for fast efficient hauling out. It accommodates vessels
weighing up to 40 tons with a maximum beam of 5.5m. There is also a mobile crane and
pressure washer. Call at reception to arrange booking for yard service. The site has a large hard
standing area with power points for laying up vessels.
Waste disposal
A large skip is provided in the compound for disposing of all rubbish. There are also special
containers for depositing waste oil, oil filters, old batteries, paints and solvents and glass. Please
help keep the site clean and tidy. If you see any rubbish or spillages, inform the marina staff so
they can deal with it.
