Summary: The Hilti HSC safety anchor is a self-undercutting anchor<br />

featuring movement-controlled expansion. The anchor shock<br />

loading tests were carried out at the Laboratory Spiez on June 6,<br />

2006, using the galvanized steel version <strong>of</strong> the anchor. The<br />

anchor displayed rigid loadbearing characteristics typical for an<br />

undercut type <strong>of</strong> anchor and fulfilled the criteria required for<br />

approval <strong>of</strong> a shock-resistant anchor system.<br />

On the basis <strong>of</strong> this assessment and supported by test report<br />

AGEW 2006-11 issued by Laboratory Spiez as well as the<br />

European Technical <strong>Approval</strong>s ETA-02/0027 for galvanized<br />

steel anchors and ETA-02/0028 for stainless steel anchors,<br />

application is hereby made for approval <strong>of</strong> the Hilti HSC and<br />

Hilti HSC-R safety anchors for use in shock-resistant fastenings<br />

in accordance with Model 1 <strong>of</strong> the instructions <strong>of</strong> the Swiss<br />

Federal Office for Civil Defence.
