Connecting to PaymentTrust's Secure Transaction Network - WorldPay

3 Introduction
The Secure Transaction Network (STN) is a collection of robust, multithreaded and real-time
transaction systems (See Figure 1 below). STN is composed of the Secure Transaction Link
(STLink) system and back-end Transaction Services. STLink receives transaction
information from merchants, processes the information through one of the many transaction
services, and sends the response back to the merchant’s requesting system. All Internet
communication mentioned in this document is executed via an Internet 128 bit Secure
Sockets Layer (SSL) connection, or an Internet Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection
using the Triple DES standard.
