ETU-DXC<br />

<strong>E1</strong> Digital Cross Connect <strong>Access</strong> Unit<br />

The ETU-DXC Digital Cross Connect offers two models, the ETU-DXC/8 and the ETU-DXC/16. These units provide 8 or<br />

16 <strong>E1</strong> circuits (inputs and outputs) respectively. Within the <strong>E1</strong> circuits, non-blocking, fully transparent cross-connects<br />

between 64Kbps timeslots can be efficiently implemented. This equipment may be used as a core building block in a<br />

digital data network based upon multiple <strong>E1</strong> lines. When combined with Time Division Multiplexing (TDM) equipment<br />

such as the ETU02-MUX or ERM-MUX/PLUS, the main functions of a DDN network may be performed. This equipment<br />

does not support signaling and is therefore not applicable for voice applications.<br />
