See You Next Year at
the Ricoh Arena!
13 -14 April 2010
Next year’s Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show will bring
two shows under one roof as it also launches a trade-only
exhibition at its new home
The Workwear and Corporate Clothing
Show is nothing if not ambitious. After
all, following in the footsteps of others
who have tried and failed to put on a
successful UK exhibition for the
working garment industry was always going to
be a challenge. But the triumph of the inaugural
show soon cemented it as one of the industry’s
biggest events on the calendar and, this year, the
organisers built on this achievement by adding
the prestigious Business Manager Awards to
the two-day line-up. It is 2010, however, when
the most ambitious plans to-date will come to
bear fruit.
For the first time in the history of the industry,
organisers Corporate Clothes Show LLP will
open another exhibition to run at the same time
and in the same place as its existing Workwear
and Corporate Clothing Show exhibition. The big
difference is that this one will be for trade-totrade
business only.
Also dedicated to workwear, corporate clothing,
protective clothing and promotional casual wear,
Totally Trade Expo will take place in addition to
the existing Workwear and Corporate Clothing
Show at the event’s new home – the Ricoh Arena
near Coventry. For this occasion, the arena will
be split in two to house the exhibitions. Each
exhibition will be completely sectioned off with
separate entrances and only invited visitors will
be allowed entry to Totally Trade Expo.
Organiser Corporate Clothes Show LLP joint
managing director Lorne Cheetham says: “We
know there are a good number of potential
exhibitors out there who can only do business
with retailers, stockists and garment decorators,
etc. They are simply unable to sell to ‘end-users’,
so we need to add this extra, important element
to the show.”
Totally Trade Expo promises to be a worthwhile
visit for distributors, dealers and stockists of
work-related clothing, corporate uniforms,
promotional wear, garment decoration,
footwear and accessories. In light of this,
manufacturers, distributors, trade suppliers of
work-related garments and textiles, embroidery
machine suppliers and garment decorators
are being invited to take advantage of this
unique opportunity by booking their exhibition
stands now.
Lorne says: “The Ricoh Arena will be our
fabulous venue for both shows and is perfect for
the future growth potential of the event as a
whole. It’s able to offer us everything on site, with
a friendly venue team, a 6,000 square metre
exhibition hall – which can hold up to 8,000
people standing – a massive dining facility for the
awards and gala dinner, plus perfect suites for
the conferences and seminars – there’s even an
onsite hotel. The price is very competitive and we
have even slightly reduced the exhibition space
rates for 2010!”
Located at the heart of the UK motorway
network just off junction three of the M6 and with
Birmingham airport only 16 miles away, the site is
ideal for those attending from within the UK and
overseas. For those travelling by train, buses also
run every 12 to 15 minutes between Coventry
city centre and the Arena Shopping Park, right
next to the Ricoh Arena.
For those sceptical of the show’s plans to
expand during a recession, Lorne says: “We’re
not so much expanding the show as taking care
of the future growth of the existing Workwear and
Corporate Clothing Show by embracing the
demand for a ‘trade’ version of the existing
event. It’s our way of saying, ‘Come on – let’s get
through this global recession together’. We have
to come out of this the other side by investing in
the future and by being strong when other
companies may well be hiding their heads.”
