violin timber. His best violins are those <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Amati grand pattern, and<br />

this is a hand.some specimen, golden brown, very mellow, exceptionally easy<br />

on <strong>the</strong> fingers, would be suitable for a lady.<br />
